It’s no secret that at Old Dragon Ink, we stand for precision and aesthetics. But true creativity cannot be pigeonholed. Our founder Dimi proves this once again with his passion project: the Old Dragon Rum. Recently, there was a very special highlight in the historic ambiance of Haus1680 in Dinkelsbühl.
An exclusive tasting at Haus1680
In a relaxed atmosphere, we invited guests to a special tasting evening. Our guests included none other than Mayor Dr. Christoph Hammer, City Councillor Kyra Hoffmann, and Klaus Huber. It was an evening that showed how entrepreneurship and regional roots go hand in hand in Dinkelsbühl.
While Dimi explained the vision behind his rum, Eugen Griebel provided the perfect accompaniment with culinary delights. It was about much more than just enjoyment – it was about exchanging ideas on creativity, local craftsmanship, and the passion to create something unique.
Premium quality from our home region
The Old Dragon Rum is no ordinary product. With its distinctive notes of banana, caramel, and vanilla, it not only delighted the invited guests on site. The rum from Dinkelsbühl is also attracting international attention: independent experts rated it with over 4.5 out of 5 points.
This officially places our “house rum” in the international elite class of premium spirits. The goal is clear: we want to show that absolute top quality can be created right here in our home region – without any big city bonus.
The bridge between tattoo and rum
Why are we writing about this on the studio’s website? Because it’s the same DNA. Whether we’re putting a complex Black & Grey piece under the skin or creating a first-class rum – the standard remains the same: passion, perfection, and the will to create something lasting.
“True quality doesn’t need big cities; it needs dedication,” Dimi said about the successful evening. “It’s great to see that this spirit is met with so much enthusiasm in city politics as well.”
