A cover-up means completely changing or covering an existing tattoo. If you have a design that wasn’t executed well, no longer suits you, or is an old mistake from your youth, there are often very good solutions.
Laser removal can be an option, but it’s often expensive and painful. It’s by no means pointless – especially when a tattoo needs to be lightened to create more room for the cover-up.
In many cases, a cover-up works without laser treatment. The key is a cleverly developed design that skillfully incorporates and harmoniously integrates the existing tattoo. Of course, there are limits – delicate or very light designs aren’t suitable for covering dark or large tattoos. However, if you’re open to somewhat larger and bolder designs, there’s almost always a suitable solution.
