2Brothers Ink becomes Old Dragon Ink: For years, 2Brothers Ink has been a well-established name in the region’s tattoo and piercing scene. The team now includes eight artists from the region and internationally. After extensive renovation, the tattoo studio shines in a new splendor. Modern, friendly, technically at the highest level, and with a clear focus on quality and a feel-good atmosphere. SK-Brush.de Airbrush & Custompaint

Starting in 2009 with airbrush & pinstriping, the studio grew big in the scene. The world's biggest custom bike shows (Vegas USA, Faaker See, etc.), 20+ magazine entries with cover pages, awards, and trophies distinguish the work.

Fast tattoo waiting times

Ultra short waiting time! Fast appointment? No problem!

Want a small or quick tattoo? No problem! We have several artists who specialize in small tattoos as well as small to medium-sized tattoos and are available for them. The waiting time is often only a few weeks. Exceptions exist for special projects or if you want a specific artist – here waiting times of 3–6 months may apply. All details can be found in the portfolio of the respective tattoo artist.

Tattoo prices

Tattoos in our studio cost as differently as the projects themselves!

With us, you’ll find everything – from a dedicated apprentice to an internationally known star artist. An apprentice naturally works at significantly lower rates, as they are still gaining experience and developing. A multi-award-winning professional with decades of experience and an impressive portfolio has a correspondingly higher rate. So you can choose exactly the artist that fits your project, depending on your budget and expectations.

Different tattoo styles

Patterns and shapes with symmetrical or recurring elements – mostly in black and often minimalist – are perfect for elegantly connecting different themes. The style appears delicate overall despite many details and not overloaded. Often elements from linework and realism are combined here to create a harmonious and modern overall image.

The “Realistic Black and Grey” style stands for detailed, lifelike motifs in black, grey, and white tones. Unlike heavily outlined traditional tattoos, the focus is on fine textures, soft shading, and realistic structures – creating an almost photorealistic effect on the skin.

These are small, fine motifs that can be placed on almost any part of the body. Particularly delicate fineline tattoos are perfect for the first tattoo or for anyone who prefers to stay subtle. They are ideal for implementing small ideas without starting a large project right away.

The “Color Realism” style relies on vibrant colors and extremely detailed, photorealistic representations – tattoos that look almost like color photos or paintings. Unlike “Realistic Black and Grey,” the color palette plays the main role here: through fine nuances, soft transitions, and precise shading, a particularly three-dimensional, lifelike effect is created on the skin.

At Old Dragon Ink, we offer professional cover-up and fresh-up work to optimize, rework, or completely redesign existing tattoos. With precise planning, modern techniques, and a trained eye for shapes, contrasts, and skin texture, we develop designs that harmoniously integrate into the existing motif – or completely replace it if desired. Our standard: to turn older tattoos back into aesthetic, clear, and expressive works of art – individually, cleanly, and sustainably executed.

The watercolor style is inspired by watercolor painting: soft, flowing colors, gentle gradients, and often little to no outlines. Through this painterly technique, the tattoos appear light, lively, and almost weightless – quite different from classic, clearly outlined motifs.

traditional old school tattoo style

Traditional (Old School)

Clear, bold lines and a reduced color palette characterize this classic style. Often you’ll find maritime or traditional motifs like anchors, roses, or swallows – timeless designs with a strong, iconic look.

dotwork whipshading tattoo style

Dotwork & Whip Shading

Finely placed dot shading and soft dot gradients, mostly in black or grey, form the basis of this style. Often combined with geometric, spiritual, or abstract motifs, a calm, very harmonious, and detailed look is created.

Trashpolka Color Tattoo Artist Dinkelsbühl Old Dragon Ink

Trash Polka

The trash polka style combines photorealistic motifs with graphic, often wild elements, creating a striking, almost chaotic look. Typical are strong contrasts, dynamic shapes, and the characteristic color palette of black and red.

Customer tattoo reviews

Realistic Tattoo Arm Portrait

The reviews mostly come from Google but there is also a lot to see and read on Facebook. You are welcome to read through all of them on the platforms at your leisure and form your own opinion! This studio formerly operated under “2Brothers ink” and some reviews also refer to team members from that time.

Have questions? Here are answers.

We have compiled a collection of numerous questions that we encounter daily, along with information for you.

Of course, you’re also welcome to watch our educational videos. And if you have any further questions, just send us a question via WhatsApp or email!

We are generally open to many styles. Since each of our team members has specialized in different areas, we can offer you a wide spectrum – from classic black-and-grey realism to color photorealism, cover-ups, watercolor and color works, to abstract art, geometry, linework, and mixed styles.

We also gladly create small tattoos like names, lettering, symbols, or signs for you.

What we rarely do and usually advise against are typical “90s” motif requests like tribals or the classic “tramp stamp.” We also don’t like to do finger tattoos, as they fade or blur very quickly depending on the location – frequent touch-ups would almost be inevitable.

In such cases, please let us know as early as possible so we can reschedule the appointment in time. If the cancellation is not made at least 48 hours in advance, we have to keep the €50 deposit, as otherwise the slot will remain unused.
If you’re feeling unwell or have taken medication such as ibuprofen, aspirin, or similar, please reschedule the appointment as well.

You can pay with us using cash, EC card, credit cards, Apple Pay/Android Pay.

You must be at least 18 years old to be tattooed by us. Exceptions are only possible with written parental consent.

The price of a tattoo depends on many factors: style, artist, size of the body area, skin texture, color content, and of course the overall effort. That’s why costs differ from project to project.

We clarify all these points when you contact us. Once all details are established, we can tell you exactly what your tattoo will cost.

You’ll find an initial reference point in the information for each artist as well as in the article about tattoo prices.

Our calculation takes into account both the minimum price and the rate of the respective artist. You then receive a fixed project price from us – so you have maximum cost certainty, even if it takes a bit longer.

In short: We’ll take care of it!
With today’s communication options, we can usually tell from your online inquiry which artist is the best fit for your project.

There are also other options:
A personal initial consultation—if needed—is often very helpful and is scheduled directly with the right tattoo artist.

We’ll always connect you with the artist whose style best matches your design.
And one important point: if we don’t have a suitable tattoo artist for your project on the team, we’ll tell you honestly.

Waiting times for a tattoo – a topic that concerns many.

Good things take time.
There are good reasons why our artists aren’t available “overnight”: a good tattoo artist is in demand, and full schedules are a sign of quality.

That a studio with several artists still has longer waiting times is fundamentally a positive sign. If you can get an appointment everywhere immediately, you should ask yourself why that might be.

How long you specifically have to wait, you’ll find out when you inquire, as the times are constantly changing. On average, they are – depending on the artist – between about 2 and 8 months.

Nevertheless, appointments can become available at short notice, for example if someone gets sick or an originally free day spontaneously becomes a work day. With a bit of luck, you might slip in at short notice.

Surprise: A clear no from us!

Tattoos can be done in any season – what matters is whether you follow the care instructions or not.

In summer, sun and pool water are the biggest challenges. However, this can be solved very well with modern, breathable UV protection shower patches – combined with responsible behavior on your part. We explain everything to you down to the smallest detail.

In winter, it’s more about protecting the skin from drying out and from friction from thick clothing.

Whether summer or winter: You only need to slightly adjust your behavior for a few weeks – and above all, do what your tattoo artist tells you.

Fun fact on the side:
We regularly tattoo on cruise ships in the hottest summer climate—with sun, pools, and salt water. And it works without any issues. That shows how well a fresh tattoo can be protected with the right aftercare.

Choosing the right tattoo placement is very individual. In the studio, we always discuss this together with you and look at what makes the most sense aesthetically, practically, and long-term. These points help with orientation:

1. Visibility & style
Think about how visible you want your tattoo to be. Some people want to see their design every day, others prefer a more discreet spot. Classic placements are the forearm, upper arm, legs, or the back of the neck. Of course, workplace requirements and your personal style also play a role.

2. Skin & movement
Areas with little movement or tension—such as the forearm, calf, or shoulder blade—usually keep tattoos looking clean and stable for longer. For very fine lines, we recommend smooth areas of skin so details stay crisp.

3. Size & design
Large, detailed designs look best on areas like the back, thigh, or chest. Small designs work beautifully on the wrist, ankle, or neck.

4. Pain sensitivity
Some areas are more sensitive than others—ribs, ankles, or the spine are among them. We’re happy to explain what to expect and how you can prepare.

5. Aftercare & longevity
Areas with lots of sun exposure fade faster. More protected spots keep their color longer. And of course, we’ll give you all the important aftercare tips.

In the end, what counts is: The placement should fit you, your style, and your life. We help you find the perfect spot – for a tattoo that convinces in the long term.

Proper care after getting tattooed is crucial for your tattoo to heal optimally and the colors to remain vibrant long-term. Here you’ll find the most important points you should know in advance. We’ll explain all details to you personally in the studio.

1. First aftercare right after getting tattooed
Your tattoo will be covered immediately with a special film or protective dressing to protect it from dirt and bacteria.
Remove the film later—carefully and as instructed by your tattoo artist—and wash the area with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap. Then gently pat the skin dry with a clean paper towel (don’t rub!).

2. Moisture & aftercare cream
Use a fragrance-free aftercare cream specifically suitable for tattoos. Apply a thin layer so the tattoo stays moisturized but can still breathe.
Repeat 2–3 times a day during the first two to three weeks.

3. What to avoid in the first weeks

  • Don’t scratch: Light scabbing and itching are normal – please don’t pick to avoid damage to color and lines.

  • Don’t soak: For 2–3 weeks, no swimming pool, no bathtub, no sauna.

  • No sun: Sun is extremely harmful during the healing phase – please avoid direct UV radiation and no sunscreen on the fresh tattoo.

4. Long-term care

  • Once your tattoo is fully healed (after about 4–6 weeks), we recommend always using a high sun protection factor in the sun.

  • Keep the skin regularly moisturized long-term so the tattoo looks fresh and vibrant.

5. Monitor the healing process
Watch for signs such as severe redness, swelling, or fluid buildup. If you’re unsure, contact us or a doctor.

With proper care, your tattoo remains clean, vibrant, and detailed. If you have questions – we’re always here for you!

Choosing the right tattoo is very personal. It should fit you – your character, your life, and what you want to express. In our studio, we support you in finding exactly this design. The following points can help:

1. Meaning & occasion
Ask yourself first: should the tattoo have a deeper meaning, or “simply” look visually striking? Many designs represent certain phases of life, memories, or values—such as symbols, animals, flowers, or lettering.
If you’re still unsure, we’ll help you find a design that fits your story and your values.

2. Your style & taste
Do you prefer minimalist and subtle, or big, colorful, and bold?
Our artists cover many styles—from realism, geometry, mandala, Old School, and Neo-Traditional to mixed styles. Together, we’ll figure out which look suits you best.

3. Placement & size
Do you want to see your tattoo at all times, or would you rather wear it in a discreet spot? Depending on the body area, the design needs to be built differently.
Large designs look great on the back, chest, or thigh; small tattoos are perfect on the wrist, ankle, or neck.

4. Inspiration—yes, copy—better not
Feel free to get inspired by images, social media, or magazines. What matters is that your tattoo ultimately becomes yours. We’ll develop a custom design with you instead of simply copying an existing motif.

5. Timelessness
Ask yourself whether the design will still suit you in a few years. Sometimes it’s symbols, sometimes certain styles that remain timeless.
If you’re unsure, we’ll take the time for an in-depth consultation.

6. No stress—take your time
A tattoo isn’t a spur-of-the-moment decision. Think it through, sleep on it if needed, and talk to us openly. We’ll be happy to show you examples and work out ideas that suit you.

In the end, the best tattoo is the one that feels 100% like you. That’s exactly what we help you with – with honest advice and a design that is truly yours.

Even though everyone is unique and can’t be pigeonholed, there are a few typical “tattoo types” that can help you better categorize your own style. Of course, we’ll support you in the studio to find your very own tattoo type.

1. The Minimalist

  • Characteristics: loves clean, subtle designs, fine lines, and small, elegant motifs.

  • Styles: Minimalism, linework, small lettering, small symbols.

  • Placement: wrist, fingers, ankle, neck.

2. The Symbolist

  • Characteristics: the meaning behind the motif is crucial – memories, values, spiritual symbols, animals, or quotes.

  • Styles: Geometric, mandala, traditional symbols, small realistic elements.

  • Placement: visible (e.g., forearm) or intentionally hidden if it’s just for you.

3. The Artistic Type

  • Characteristics: sees tattoos as artwork on the skin and wants to wear something unique and expressive.

  • Styles: Realism, watercolor, abstract art, neo-traditional.

  • Placement: back, upper arms, thighs – large areas for a big impact.

4. The Traditionalist

  • Characteristics: loves classic tattoo aesthetics and timeless motifs.

  • Styles: Old school, neo-traditional, American traditional.

  • Placement: chest, back, forearm, upper arm.

5. The Adventurer

  • Characteristics: tattoos represent experiences, travels, and life philosophy.

  • Styles: Maori, tribal, compass, world maps, cultural elements.

  • Placement: shoulder, upper arm, ribs, legs.

6. The Individualist

  • Characteristics: wants unique, specially designed motifs – without style limitations.

  • Styles: mixed styles, personal designs, custom drafts.

  • Placement: flexible depending on the project.

7. The Storyteller

  • Characteristics: tattoos come together to form an overall picture – each motif has a “chapter” meaning.

  • Styles: portraits, realism, illustrative elements, style mix.

  • Placement: everywhere, often spread out as a “life map.”

8. The Trend-Conscious

  • Characteristics: follows modern tattoo trends, fashion, and aesthetics.

  • Styles: geometry, fine line, micro tattoos, botanical motifs.

  • Placement: forearm, ankle, wrist – modern and visible.

In the end, most tattoo types overlap. What’s important is that your tattoo suits you – and that’s exactly what we support you with in the studio with honest advice and an individual design.

The right aftercare cream is a vital part of tattoo healing. It supports the skin, protects the color, and ensures your tattoo looks fresh in the long run. Here are our top recommendations:

1. Specialized tattoo aftercare creams
It’s best to use products developed specifically for freshly tattooed skin. They support healing without clogging pores and contain soothing ingredients such as panthenol or aloe vera.
Popular products: Bepanthen Tattoo, TattooMed After Tattoo, Hustle Butter Deluxe.

2. Fragrance- & alcohol-free creams
Fresh tattoos react sensitively to unnecessary additives. Creams without perfume or alcohol help prevent irritation and allergies.
Alternative: Bepanthen Antiseptic Wound Cream also works well.

3. Natural moisturizing care
Ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil, or almond oil provide gentle moisture. Ideal for sensitive skin—but note: pure oils are often too “heavy.” Tattoo butters like Hustle Butter are usually the better solution.

4. Application & frequency
Apply a thin layer of cream to your tattoo 2–3 times a day. It should stay moisturized, but not “smothered.”
Regular application is particularly important in the first two weeks – after that, a good moisturizer helps keep the tattoo vibrant in the long term.

5. Products you should avoid

  • Vaseline & very greasy ointments (clog the pores)

  • Products with alcohol or perfume (risk of irritation)

With the right cream, you not only heal faster but also ensure your tattoo stays clear and vibrant for many years. Ask us for recommendations anytime – we’re happy to help!

Regularly applying cream is a central part of tattoo aftercare. It ensures your tattoo heals cleanly and remains vibrant and detailed in the long run. Here’s an overview of the most important reasons:

1. Supporting healing
After getting tattooed, the skin is irritated—like a superficial wound. A good tattoo cream soothes the skin, supports regeneration, and prevents it from getting too dry. Ingredients like panthenol promote healing and protect against small cracks.

2. Protection from drying out
Freshly tattooed skin loses moisture quickly. If it gets too dry, it can itch, feel tight, or look flaky. Regular moisturizing keeps the skin supple and reduces heavy scabbing—helping the color settle evenly in the skin.

3. Less itching & tightness
Itching is part of healing, but it’s risky for the tattoo. Aftercare cream eases the tight feeling and reduces itching—so you’re less tempted to scratch.

4. Preserving colors & details
Well-cared-for tattoos stay crisp, vibrant, and clean for years. Moisture keeps the skin elastic and helps prevent fast fading—especially important for color-rich or highly detailed designs.

5. Protection from irritation & infections
Tattoo creams form a light protective layer, are often mildly antibacterial, and protect the skin from external factors like clothing or friction. That lowers the risk of infection and supports clean healing.

Conclusion:
Moisturizing is a small step with a big impact. It helps your tattoo heal steadily, stay vibrant, and heal cleanly—and helps it still look great years from now.

Properly washing your tattoo is an important part of aftercare. This prevents infections and helps your skin heal. Here’s a clear step-by-step guide:

1. First wash
Remove the dressing or film as soon as your tattoo artist has recommended.
Then you can carefully clean your tattoo for the first time to remove excess ink, blood, and plasma.

2. Clean hands
Before touching your tattoo: wash your hands thoroughly with soap. This helps prevent germs from getting onto fresh skin.

3. Mild, fragrance-free soap
Use a gentle, fragrance-free soap without alcohol. It won’t irritate the skin and supports healing.
Tattoo soaps or mild drugstore soaps are ideal.

4. Lukewarm water
Wash the tattoo carefully with lukewarm water.
Avoid holding the tattoo directly under the stream—better to let the water run gently over it with your hand.

5. Clean gently
Use light, circular motions without rubbing or pressing.
If the first scabs form: please don’t scrub them off.

6. Dry carefully
Pat the area dry with a clean towel or paper towel—don’t wipe or rub.
Make sure the towel is fresh and hygienic.

7. Apply aftercare cream
After drying, apply a thin layer of your recommended tattoo cream.

How often should you wash?
In the first 2–3 days: about twice a day.
After that, once a day is enough—plus regular moisturizing.

With proper cleaning, your tattoo will stay clean, protected, and can heal optimally.

In short: Basically no – but certain colors have indeed been banned.

In the EU, stricter rules for tattoo inks have been in place for several years. Pigments that pose health risks are particularly affected. Here’s the most important information:

1. Why were colors banned?
Since January 2022, new REACH regulations (EU chemicals regulation) apply. Some pigments and ingredients have been banned because they were classified as potentially harmful, allergenic, or even carcinogenic in the long term.

2. Which colors are affected?
Especially some very bright blue and green shades that contain certain problematic pigments. These substances may no longer be used. The industry is already working on safe alternatives.

3. What does this mean for studios?
EU studios are now only allowed to use REACH-compliant inks. These are tested, approved, and meet current safety standards. We work exclusively with these inks and stay in close contact with certified manufacturers.

4. What does this mean for you as a customer?
The ban serves your protection – less risk, greater trust in the products used. Even if some shades are (still) rarer, there are still many safe, high-quality alternatives.

Conclusion:
Yes, certain color pigments are banned—but professional studios like ours work exclusively with tested, safe, and approved inks. If you have questions about this, we’ll be happy to explain everything in detail.
